Oliver J Private Blood ("we", "us") provides private blood-testing services from 1428 London Road, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex SS9 2UL. We take the privacy of your personal information, especially your health information, seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Contact details: name, phone number and email when you book an appointment or send us a message.
• Booking details: your date of birth and sex at birth (the laboratory needs both to apply the right reference ranges), the tests you choose, any note you add, and your marketing preference. These are stored in our clinic booking system.
• Health information: the tests you choose, relevant notes you share before your draw, and the results returned by our laboratory partner.
• Website use: this site does not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. While you fill in the booking form, your answers stay in your browser; they are sent to us only when you press the book or pay button.

Payments

Card payments are taken by Stripe on their secure payment page. We never see or store your card number. Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to the payment itself; we keep the booking reference, the amount and the refund history.

If you pay by bank transfer, we see the name, amount and reference your bank sends, and use them only to match the payment to your booking. We note if a bank transfer is not paid in time or a pay-at-the-clinic appointment is missed, and use this only to decide which ways to pay we offer you online.

How we use it

We use your information solely to provide the service you’ve asked for: arranging appointments, processing samples with our accredited UK laboratory partner, having a doctor review your results, and delivering your report securely. We do not sell personal information. When your booking is confirmed, your name, contact details, date of birth and the tests you booked are also held in the client system of our sister studio, Oliver J Tattoo. We only send you marketing emails (from Oliver J Tattoo, Oliver J Laser or Oliver J Private Blood) if you ticked the box when booking. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email. Your test results are never shared with the studio.

Health data, handled with care

Test results are special-category data under UK GDPR. They are shared only between you, the laboratory that analyses your sample and the clinicians who review it. Your GP sees them only if you choose to share them.

How long we keep it

We keep records only as long as needed to provide your care and meet our legal and clinical record-keeping obligations, then delete or anonymise them securely.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or, where the law allows, ask us to delete it. Contact us at [email protected] or call 01702 714888.
