Clarity and discretion, in equal measure

Hepatitis Screening

£129+ £25 blood draw per visit, however many tests you book5 biomarkersResults in 5–7 working days

Viral hepatitis often carries no symptoms for months or years, which is exactly why a straightforward screen can be so reassuring. This panel looks for markers of the three most common types, hepatitis A, B and C, showing where you stand today. It is a sensible step after a possible exposure or before travel, and a clear answer whenever you want one.

Your sample is a simple venous draw taken in our private Leigh-on-Sea clinic and analysed by an accredited UK laboratory. Results are returned as a doctor-reviewed report within 5–7 working days, and treated with complete discretion.

If a result needs following up, your report explains the next steps clearly and calmly, including any confirmatory testing your GP or a specialist might arrange. Nothing here is a diagnosis. It is clear information you can act on, discussed in plain language and handled in confidence, with no judgement and no assumptions about why you have chosen to test.

Preparation: No fasting required. If you are testing after a specific exposure, the hepatitis B and C markers are most reliable around three months afterwards, and your report will note this where relevant.

About this test

  • Markers of the hepatitis A, B and C viruses, which affect the liver in different ways. Together they give a clear, confidential picture of your current status from a single blood sample.

  • Completely. Your sample and doctor-reviewed report are handled with strict confidentiality throughout, and nothing is shared with anyone without your consent.

  • Hepatitis B and C can take time to show up in the blood, so testing is most reliable around three months after any potential exposure. Speak to us if you would like guidance on timing.
